I Heart Faces!! Wedding Bells

When I saw that this week's theme was going to be wedding bells I got so excited. "We just got back from a wedding". That excitement diminished when I realized, I didn't take any pictures from the most recent wedding. (as in a previous post, remember shhhh I stole them from Facebook). Then I remembered another wonderful wedding I went to last year and I DID take pictures from that one. Well here is my choice...

Remember to head on over I Hear Faces and check out more "Wedding Bells" pictures.

All about our vacation...about time huh?

Well we have been back from our FABULOUS vacation for a few weeks now, but I am just now feeling like posting about it. See I really want to be back at the beach than at home and if I keep putting things off it makes it not seem real that I am back home. The whole idea of our vacation started when one of Brian's cousins was getting married. She was getting married in Charleston, SC and our "family"
vacation spot is Folly Beach, which is right outside of Charleston.

Some pictures of the bride and groom (shhh, I stole these pictures off of her FACEBOOK) Aren't they a great looking couple? She was a GORGEOUS bride!! Well she is gorgeous either way. Did I tell you she is in school to be a doctor? Brains and beauty, double threat.

We decided to stay the week following the wedding. My sister-in-law and her family came and stayed for a long weekend. They couldn't stay the whole week because she had to get back to work. Don't let that make you feel sorry for them though...see they are heading to Disney in October, so they will get their big vacation then. =)

We stayed the rest of the week with Brian's mom and one of his aunts. We stayed in a condo on the beach (well there was a one way road separating us from the beach, but let's not nit pick here. It was sooo nice to have a week just to do what we wanted, when we wanted. Lucky for us our children get in vacation mode very easily. We did a whole lotta nuttin!! We did some shopping in Charleston and "Downtown Folly". We tried new restaurants. Some were better than others. We mostly played on the beach or sat out staring at the ocean taking it all in. I got a chance to take some beautiful pictures. Course what is one of my posts without pictures and you all know I love to do slideshows. Hey a picture is worth 1000 words right, so I guess I have a lot to say. Check it out!!!

I Heart Faces!!! Sepia

After getting home from the beach with some wonderful pictures, I had a hard time choosing which ones to use this week. I have one picture for both categories...

For the Adult Category is my wonderful hubby.

He and Steven where throwing the football and I was able to capture that shot.

The Kid's category was a little tougher. I chose the following picture using the most grown up and logical way of elimination...eeny, meeny, miney, mo. Here is the winner of that game.

This picture of K is at one of the many restaurants we ate at. It was hot on the porch and she was a little hungry, but I just love this picture.

To see more wonderful pictures in Sepia head over to I Heart Faces and check em out. Don't forget to leave them some love.

Wow, so sorry!

Seems as if I have abandoned my blog. I just got in kind a rut. I wanted to do more writing, but really didn't have much to write about. Oh well, that's life. As I type, I am sitting at the beach. Yep, we are on vacation. We started it off with a wedding last night. It was a beautiful ceremony and the bride was gorgeous. The bride is one of Brian's cousins. The ceremony took place in Charleston. I have always loved that city. I wish I could have enjoyed the reception more though. In the afternoon before the wedding ceremony we took the kids out to the beach so they could play in the sand and ocean. Well, I put sunblock everywhere...or so I thought. I totally forgot my back. So last night I was uncomfortable and sooooo tired. The reception was GREAT!! The bride and groom wanted to have food that they loved. There were several different stations set up. A cheese and fruit area, a deviled egg bar, a place to get shrimp and grits. There was a place with ginormous shrimp, with little ham/turkey sandwiches and grilled asparagus. Then one of the best stations was the steak table. It had with it some fried green tomatoes and the world's best mac and cheese.

We are sitting around today and will eventually make it to the ocean...well the boys will. I will be sticking around the condo with Kendall. She doesn't care too much for the sand between her toes and the salty ocean water that likes to knock her over and get in her mouth. She has made it perfectly clear that she objects to it. (pictures to come).

Well, I guess that is it. I will update later on the kid's last days of school, but why focus on any aspect of school while on vacation.
