FFF...Silly

This week's theme for FFF is "Silly". Let me tell you, I sure have some of the silliest kids, so that is not hard, but the hard thing about this is trying to find my favorite picture. I think I have narrowed down my choices. So here goes...

Hope you enjoy and if you want to enjoy more "Silly" pictures go check out, kissthefrog4me.blogspot.com

Sorry

I haven't forgotten about the post asking you guys to pick a "caption" for this picture...

The truth is I love them all. Now I know that you guys are all wondering what he is actually doing in this picture. Believe it or not he is actually just watching people sing Happy Birthday to a friend of mine. I love the way the light is shining in on him. I just think that this is one of my favorite pictures of him. Thank you for participating and next time I promise to pick a true winner and post it sooner.

Favorite Foto Friday or FFF

In an effort to make my blog a little more interesting I have decided to try and join in some different activities that other people do on their blogs. One of these being Favorite Foto Friday or FFF.

Each Friday there is a theme to your pictures. This week is FAKE OUT.(the fake smile) You know what I am talking about, when you are trying to capture memories and your subject is not really wanting cooperate. So here it goes, these are some of my favorite photos of my "loyal subjects" trying to humor their mom when she is behind that camera...yet again!

Course to take it a step further, there are times when they just show that they are so not into having their picture taken. Below is proof of that.

And soooo....

all is well with this house again. The cooties seem to have left the building. Kendall is sitting at the table with a plate of peanut butter, Matthew and daddy are watching Shrek 2, and Steven is at a friend's house spending the night. We have plans tomorrow to go to the Bug Hunter's birthday party at the skating rink. On Thursday, Steven is getting a tooth pulled. He has inherited Brian's genes for bad teeth, poor guy. What a way to spend time when you have a week off of school, huh?

I am enjoying this time off to spend with my kids and just relax. We get so caught up in our day to day routine that we sometimes forget to stop and enjoy each other.

In other news, our house guests, Mac and Cheese, will be leaving us next month sometime. Their mom will be coming home for some R&R from Afghanistan and her husband will be coming home from Germany for good next month. I have loved having these two precious kitties, but it will be nice to only have one pet to care for. We plan on getting new carpet shortly after they leave.

After reading so many other people's blogs, and wanting to spruce up my blog a little, I have decided to do a "Give that photo a caption" contest. Don't get too excited, the only prize will be knowing you have won.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Steven. After I see what you guys have to say for the caption, I will tell you what he was doing in this picture. Don't know when I will stop the contest so get your ideas in quickly.

Let me just say...

there is nothing worse than having a sick child. Matthew has had a nasty cold all week. It started last Friday and he is finally getting to wear he is looking more like himself. He still has a nasty cough, but hasn't had a fever in about 48 hours. Let's just say that I am glad my kids have the whole week off next week. Time to get away from the schools and the cooties. Hopefully the cleaners can come in an throw buckets of disinfectant down and we can start fresh. I know your child is going to get sick while at school, but being exposed to the flu, strep, stomach viruses all at the same time and and for over a month is ridiculous.

Now the fun begins...what to do with my Foster children this week?!?

Friendship

When your child is born you wish that they are able to make friends. You hope that these friends will be good to your child. You hope that they learn GOOD things from them. You hope that your child is able to have a good time and make a life long friendship. This can teach your child that everyone is different. It can teach your child to care about people other than family. Your child's friend can teach your child how families can be different. You hope your child makes many memories with their friends. Well this has been one of my hopes and prayers for my children. I have many friends that I have been friends with for quite a while. While we may not see each other that often, but we can pick up the phone or chat via Facebook anytime we want and each of us knows that we will be there for each other at the drop of a hat.

I think Steven has made some really good friends. One of them is the Bug Hunter. Steven met him at church years ago, but last year their friendship has really blossomed. They have spent the night at each other's houses. Steven has gone home with him after church many times. I feel kinda bad because his mom seems to do all of the inviting. I try not to use the excuse of having the other two Foster children with us, but let's face it, we can't do as much as the Bug Hunter's awesome mom can do. And I mean she is AWESOME. They live in a boy's paradise and I think Steven would much rather go over there.

Steven went over there yesterday after church. Not much was planned, they just wanted to go play in the dirt. I met them at Wal-Mart about 4:30 to pick up Steven. We both had to run in to get a few things, so the boys got to spend extra time with each other. Well the Bug Hunter had this "super cool Omnitrix watch" (if you have boys you should know what this is, if you don't know yet...you will, trust me), that he out of the sweetness of his heart gave to Steven. I told the Bug Hunter that he didn't have to give anything to Steven, that being able to play together was gift enough. Well both he and his super awesome mom, had already made up their minds that Steven treasured this toy and he could have it. I just thought, how cool. She has already had Steven over numerous times and she has taken them to the new TELLUS museum. This family is very special, not only to Steven but to our family. I know that when Steven is in their presence and care that I have NO worries. Steven comes home with more knowledge (mostly of bugs, YUCK!), and more love in his heart for others. They also seem to have very deep conversations too. Just go check out her blog and check out her newest post and get a little glimpse of one of them. I pray that this friendship continues.
