Severe Slacker
Yep, that is what I am. I just haven't had the desire to write. Life is so busy these days, so when I do decide to get on the computer all I feel like doing is playing Words with Friends or Monopoly on Facebook. I am making no promises in this post to be better at updating, but I will try.
Let me just say that the older my kids get the busier I seem to be getting. I would have never thought when I would chase around a Kindergartner and preschooler while nursing a baby that I would be busier than I was then. Boy was I wrong.
Steven started middle school this year and is loving every minute.
He is in the band and playing the saxophone. That happens to be what I played when I was younger too. Just wish I would have hung onto my horn. He is now a Boy Scout and still loving that. He does many campouts, does lots of hiking as well. (Not really my idea of fun, but keeps him busy). He is wanting to play baseball next spring, so if his grades are good he will be trying that out again. He got his braces off this summer and looks like a whole new child. This one phase 1, so that means at least one more phase of braces, but we don't know yet when that will be.
Matthew started 2nd grade this year. His teacher is a tough one. I have already had my moments of stress with her, but I think when the end of the year comes I will be grateful for having her as his teacher. I think he will learn lots. Matthew became a Wolf cub this summer. It is the next step up after Tiger. He seems to be enjoying it. Brian is his leader too. He is still my loveable little guy who still loves to sit in my lap and cuddle.
Kendall started Pre-K this year. She has been in preschool since she was in the two year class. Well I guess since she was born since I am a pre-k teacher. This is going to be her last year there. She is my last baby in Pre-K. Hard to believe this time next year she will have started Kindergarten. WOW!!! I am hoping to get her signed up for dance or gymnastics soon. This child is so smart it is crazy. She is also my moodiest child. Guess that comes with being a girl though.
I started work again. I am still with the 3's, three days a week. I am working with a new person. She has been there for years, but decided she wanted 3 days instead of 2. So far I am loving working with her. My class seems like they will be a good one, even if they are VERY social aka VERY talkative.
Brian is still working his contract job at Manhattan Associates. He really likes it there. They seem to like him too, considering his contract was up in April and they moved him to the Help Desk and extended his contract to December. They have told him they want him permenantly but are working on getting the paperwork pushed through. Let me tell you learning how to patiently wait on something you really want is being perfected with this whole ordeal.
I do have some very exciting news to announce. With Brian loosing his job then getting a job where we went from having a salary to count on to him being paid hourly, we have watched our money so much better. So because of that we are now DEBT FREE!!!!! Other than the house we have NOTHING hanging over our heads. It is such a great feeling!
Sorry for such a long post, especially when I have no pictures to go with it. I intended on putting some up, but Blogger won't let me. So I guess that means another post should be coming soon....ha! We can all hope can't we?!?!?

Spring Break!!!
Two little words that are going to bring such happiness to this home and mama. We have been in school every day since our second "winter break", when we had snow and schools in our county were cancelled. I don't have a lot on the agenda, but I will enjoy every minute of it!!!

1 down....2 to go!
Right around his birthday, Matthew came to us asking about salvation. After a lengthy talk he decided it was his time to let Jesus into his heart. There is nothing sweeter than watching a child give it up to God. I hope to witness it with my other two children one day. YAY GOD!!!

What to say?
I have been neglecting both of my blogs real bad lately. My goal for 2011 is to, well not do that. I created this blog as a way for me to write about my family and events that happen. So I promise that however mundane I feel my writing will be I will still write about it, so that I can look back years from now and remember.
Until the next post.....

NO MORE....
AMOXICILLIAN IN THIS HOUSE!
Remember, a few months ago Matthew had strep throat and got that bad rash (the pics above), well Steven had strep last week and this morning those little red bumps appeared on him...hmmmmmmmmmm! Steven's doesn't look as bad in the pics as Matthew's but that is how Matthew's looked the day before I took those pics.

Something different
I have been doing nothing but posting videos of all the pictures I have been taking. I know you guys are loving it, but thought I would actually do a real blog post this time. What's new in our lives....? About the biggest thing right now is Brian lost his job. It was scary news at first, well it is still scary, but I am not worried. I know God is watching over us and I am confident he will have a job by the end of the month. But please be in prayer over this.
Summer is almost over..can you believe it? I mean we really just started and now we have to go back on August 6, a Friday no less. I've been doing quite a bit of working this summer, both on my photography and at some day camps.
Speaking of day camps, both Steven and Matthew attending the Cub Scout Day camp this summer, with their daddy helping out. Since Matthew is just starting out as a Tiger Cub he had to have parent with him. Steven and Brian have also attended Webelo Encampment as well. Kendall has gotten to go to camp with me, as well as Matthew. I am do a preschool day camp with different themes each week. Brian and Steven are hanging out at home while I am there.
Speaking of Brian hanging out at home...let's just say he NEEDS to get a job. Not necessarily for the obvious, needing the money..but because I am getting so spoiled. I have not had to do much around the house. All the laundry is kept caught up. When I mean caught up, I mean the clothes that I am wearing now, will be washed and put away by this time tomorrow. LOVE IT!!
I just shot my first wedding this past Saturday. I was so excited yet nervous. I had fun, and am still editing the shots, but so far they are turning out great. I have realized that I'm not a wedding photographer. I mean I will do other weddings as long as they are little, but my passion is more families and kids, both young and old.
Hmmmm, guess that catches us up. I might have a little contest happening this week, so check back.
