I Heart Faces

There are two themes that I could get into this week, pets and the theme for kids is pouting. HMMM, let's see, do I have one with pouting....you tell me...

Of course with all the cats (don't worry there are only 3, not the crazy cat lady...yet), I do have a good one for pets...check this one out!

This guy's name is Cheese. He is the only one that will sit still when the camera comes out. The other two run. He and is brother, Mac are staying with us while their mommy is in Afghanistan serving our country. She should be home in July for good.

BTW, did anyone catch the cat's names? I still get a kick out of it.

If you wanna check out some more great pouty faces or some more beautiful animals, go over to I HEART Faces to check them out.

FFF...Unique

With my kids, there are plenty of opportunities to snap some "unique" pictures. I have been trying to decide which direction I wanted to take this unique picture.

So after thinking I realized how Steven is "unique". That boy has a great imagination and will do anything to make you laugh. These two pictures are my favorites, but there are so many more.

If you wanna see some more UNIQUE pictures go on over to Kiss the Frog 4 Me.

Trying something new

I am just checking out different photo programs. These were done with Picasa.

Now I know I didn't do much, but I still think they look cool. Now off to try some other ones. BTW, don't really like Paint.net.

FFF...Then

Okay, so LAST week's theme was THEN, but my keyboard was messing up and since you kinda need it to type a post, well I couldn't. This week's theme is Green. I have already done one with that theme and don't really have any other pictures to go along with it, I will do last week's.

Then...

Now...

Hee hee, he is just too cute!! In the top picture he was about 6 months old and the bottom picture, well if you read this post you know he is 8 years old.

Then...

Now...

In the top picture, Matthew was about 14 months old and the bottom picture his 5. Again, another cutie!
Then...

Now...

What a difference a year and a half makes, ha ha ha.

If you want to see more FFF go to Kiss the Frog 4 Me. Remember, everyone else will be on top of it and be doing the theme of Green. =)

I Heart Faces! GREEN

The theme for this week's I Heart Faces is GREEN. I came across this picture and thought it was hilarious.

It was taken in my classroom last year. She is wearing Yoda ears that are greenish yellow, but if you look closely there is a green circle in the background. Kinda sneaky huh?

To check out some more photos with the Green theme check out at I Heart Faces .

Play day at the park

Well the weather around here has been awesome. Last Friday I took Matthew and Kendall to the local park. It was an absolutely perfect day. The temperature was not too hot, and had the right amount of wind so the air didn't feel so stagnant feeling (like the Georgia weather feels a lot of the time). Steven was in school so he didn't get to join us. I got some great pictures. I have had my camera since my birthday last year (07) and I have been too nervous to try the different functions. I was reading a little on photography, and one point that stuck out to me was to just "play with the camera". What a concept. Well I did just that. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

I know that some of you are having difficulties leaving a comment. I have set everything to where anyone can leave a comment so I have no clue why you can't leave one. Anyone else have any suggestions?

FFF...Your pick

There really isn't a theme for this week's Favorite Foto Friday. A suggestion was a picture from February and maybe in black and white. Well I didn't really take many pictures in February, but I did take one good one in black and white.

This was taken at a party for a friend of mine's little boy.

Let me just say that I LOVE black and white pictures, so I have chosen a few of my favorites from the years.

I know that these are sepia, but I still love them.

One of my favorite times of year to take black and white (with some color), is Christmas. These last pictures are from this past Christmas.

Check out Kiss the Frog 4 ME for more FFF.

I Heart Faces!

I was reading Pam D's blog today and she is participating with another sight, I heart faces. I have noticed she has done a few, but this theme, I can really get into.
MESSY FACES. Now, my kids are bone fide experts at getting their faces messy. I think they have contests to see who can get the messiest while eating.

First is Steven...

He was about 2 years old in this picture and as you can see, he LOVED his ice cream with chocolate syrup.

Matthew

Now I know this picture has nothing to do with him eating food, but this just cracks me up. We were on vacation at the beach and he wanted NOTHING to do with the ocean, but he LOVED to play in the sand. This is how he looked every time we went out. Course, he did end up eating some sand too, so I could include this with the food pictures.

Now, I will get to Kendall in a minute, but I came across this picture and I guess I see where my kids get it...

Yes, that would be me. I don't know the story behind this picture, but I thought it was appropriate.

Now onto my little girl. I think the picture will show that she has everyone beat when it comes to getting a face messy...

This picture speaks for itself!

Wow, that was fun! Can you guys come up with some MESSY FACE pictures? I wanna see?

Snow in March? Really?

Living in Georgia, snow is an uncommon thing. I lived in Missouri for about 5 years or so, so I actually got to see real snow. When we moved back here, I never wanted to see snow again. The funny thing is I get so excited when I see it now. Unfortunately, the snow we got was here yesterday was gone so fast. It wasn't the fun snow either. Steven was the only one who ventured out to play in what we had. Don't get me wrong, I am oh so grateful for every single flake we did get. Here are a few pictures I was able to get.

The poor kid had to get his snow for his "snow ball" which turned to ice as soon as he compacted it, from the cars.

I was going to take pictures of the progression of the snow, but I got side tracked, but here it is at the beginning.

When all was said and done, we did have a nice covering of snow. It was a nice day. We just lounged around and hung out as a family. Here's some pics of our entertainment.

Course the greatest entertainment from yesterday is from my previous post.

Does size really matter?

Big Brother

Little Brother

Look at what little brother did to his big brother...

Now you tell me...

Does size really matter?

Also, where did you think I was actually gonna go with this post?

Now before you think I would condone such behavior by using this as a "Kodak moment", they were just wrestling and Steven's tooth was already loose...very loose. Well one swipe of an elbow (or some other body part, still not quite sure of this), and the tooth was gone. They both know that they can get hurt if they decide to roughhouse and by choosing to take part in such behavior, you sign any right away from getting the other one in trouble for hurting you. Hmmmm, I wonder....will this mean that they might listen to me next time?

I'm not thinking so.
